Nordic TechKomm Copenhagen 2026
I am really looking forward to taking the stage at the upcoming Nordic TechKomm conference!
With the new Machinery Regulation (EU) 2023/1230, the link between engineering design, documentation, and legal responsibility is closer than ever before. At the conference, I will be presenting in English with the title:
"The Machinery Regulation’s Impact on Cybersecurity and Imported Machines"
What will I be covering?
In my presentation, I will address two of the most significant and impactful changes that manufacturers, documentation specialists, and importers must relate to before 2027:
Cybersecurity in machinery safety (Protection against corruption):
Cybersecurity is no longer just something the IT department takes care of up to the network switch. It is becoming a direct requirement for CE marking. I will cover how standards such as EN 50742 and IEC 62443 place entirely new requirements on securing the safety-related control system against corruption and hacking.
Stricter rules for importers of machinery (Article 13):
If you purchase machinery from outside the EU – whether for resale or internal use – you assume extensive legal responsibility. CE marking from a supplier in a third country alone is no longer enough. I will cover the requirement for full access to the technical documentation and the 10-year retention obligation.
Shall we meet at Nordic TechKomm?
If you work with technical communication, machinery design, CE marking, or compliance, the conference is an obvious opportunity to get updated on the latest requirements.
I look forward to a lot of great professional discussions, knowledge sharing, and questions from the audience!
You can read more about my presentation and see the full program on the Nordic TechKomm website.
See you there! 👋
